Miss Nancy

Miss Nancy , is proud mother to four daughters, grandmother to 5 grandchildren, has had a love for water since she was 5 years old. She grew up swimming competitively for a local swim team in San Anselmo through her youth. As an adult she swims for fitness and relaxation. In the past 5 years she has taught at the Marin Jewish community Center both group and private lessons to a variety of kids and adults. You can find her there once a week teaching. In addition,  she teaches privately in the community when the opportunity arises. Their love of swimming really shows when they work a new family. She loves working with new families and teaching them to love the water and experience it in many ways, both for fitness and pleasure. Her well rounded curriculum focuses on floating , gliding, kicking  and arm movements. Each skills is taught sequentially so that they all connect to develop a strong swimmer. Life is full of experiences, she has great stories to share.

In her free time, Nancy enjoys hiking with her dog, tennis and healthy cooking.

Miss Mary

I have been in the Aquatic field my entire career teaching various ages from infants to adults.  I specialize in  teaching 3, 4 and 5 years to enjoy the water and overcome any fears. Teaching is not only rewarding but you see the growth of a swimmer. You witness how they start to LOVE the water.   I recently retired from teaching Physical Education in the Marin public school system. I am a certified  Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid .

Nicks Bio

My name is Nicky ! I am going into my 4th year at Cal Poly as a computer science major. I am on the Cal Poly Men’s Swim And Dive Team. This will be my fourth year of lessons with MissJeanSwimming and my 6th year teaching swim lessons. Love giving back to the swimming community in full circle way. Miss Jean taught myself and my brothers how to swim. We all swam through high school and college. Learning to swim is one of the best things to do for my community. Seeing kids smile after they achieve a goal is worth the few tears in the beginning. Looking ahead to working with your family.

I live in Bel Marin Keys on the water, I have a 17 year old daughter and a 19 year old son.  I am now an empty nester and have tons of time to teach your kids how to swim!   I’ve been a competitive swimmer from 5 years old through college(University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire).  I am a real estate appraiser as well as an office assistant at Good Shepherd Lutheran School.

I love working with children and watching their swimming skills improve in front of my eyes!

Miss Monica

Hello there!

My name is Monica and I recently completed my Master’s degree in Marine Science. I have been teaching swim lessons since I was 11 years old with the City and County of San Francisco and have been professionally employed with them since the age of 17 as both an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard. Swimming and being surrounded by water has been a passion of mine ever since I was a little girl. I also swam competitively in both high school and college. I strive to instruct water safety skills in a fun, engaging and supportive environment. I look forward to working with you!
