Hello! My name is Breany, but feel free to call me Bre.
I am an alumna of the University of California, Merced, where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Management and Business Economics alongside a minor in Political Science. Since I
first entered the water at age 5, swimming has been my peaceful haven. I began competing in a local aquatics club and later on the high school swim team at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. I discovered my love for teaching others to swim informally by promoting water safety early on at CYO camp, instinctively guiding a friend to find comfort while floating in the pool. Formally, I’ve volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club and SF Rec and Park as an assistant swim instructor for students ranging from toddlers to adults. Additionally, I am certified by the American Red Cross as a lifeguard and in CPR/AED. Currently, I am in the process of
joining SF Rec and Park in an official capacity within their aquatics programs. I’m excited for any opportunity to inspire growth, confidence, and success in others, all while ensuring a positive and enjoyable learning experience!
