I have been working with babies and young children since I was 11 years old. I’m a mother of 4 girls and a grandma. My happy place is in the water – pool, lake, or ocean. Put the two together and I always feel like I’ve won the lottery! When my children were young, I became an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. I ran my own swim program for 5 years at the Petaluma Golf and Country Club. During that time, I taught countless numbers of children to swim. My children are grown now. Miss Jean asked if I’d like to teach again. I jumped at the opportunity. I still swim for fitness several times a week. The privilege of working with your little ones to become competent water lovers brings me joy!
